In case anybody is wondering whether Linux inability to expose scsi ordered tag semantics for the filesystems to use puts Linux at a disadvantage compared to MS, this thread suggests that Windows only ever issues SCSI SIMPLE (i.e. unordered) tags, and any ordering requirements are handled by waiting for completion.
