I for one resent being called a "Luddite" because I have reservations about electronic voting systems. Cracking the crypto is only one of many concerns with such devices. Most people I know who have these concerns are far more worried about exploitable software bugs in the proprietary closed-source software that runs these things, or in the human aspects of how the voting data is handled, or in trusting the companies that make the devices. He's making it sound like the crypto is what we're worried about, when for the most part it is not.
