Is it now internet law that all bacon references must be forwarded to John Scalzi?

Not that I disapprove, I'm just wondering.

Is there a law that says everything mentioning bacon gets sent to Scalzi?

Well, I've never seen one, but based on reading his blog, the rest of the world seems to think there is.
