Trademark law at least in the US doesn't work that way: the trademark holder doesn't own all uses of the word (despite what the Drupal people appear to believe). If Linus tried to stop Jon from using the tag line "Linux info from the source", he'd lose.

But Linux is also a trademark for textile stuffs, so probably if the shirts
are not made using linux (I expect it as a linen made texil) it is a
trademark infringement ;-)

Yes, Joe, but since I made that argument about 50 different ways on the Drupal thread, and everyone told me I was worng, I figured I'd let someone else say it.
