Ubuntu's multisearch surprise

I must admit that this was the biggest frustration after upgrading my Debian firefox to one from ubuntu repositories. It redirects you to spy page even when you have home page set to blank page. It's all about attitude - I'm pretty sure that such addon would never be shipped in Debian distro.
