Yeh... if Unladen Swallow can be made production, get the improved performance, get the memory usage under control, and effectively replace the CPython implementation then that should end up being quite a boon for the entire language.

And as a side effect it should reduce quite a bit of the need/desire for things like Mono or Java and hopefully convince more people to get out of the C-language application writing racket.
