Try with CONFIG_USB_EHCI_TT_NEWSCHED=y

I can't figure out why this is not the default, though... :/

I actually tried that right away and it didn't fix the problem. I haven't tested the latest kernel versions though, but they are not an option in my case anyway. It is a shame, because the same hardware works flawlessly in Windows (and I bet it even works in Windows 2000, which is how many years old?).
