Because it's Pedantic Thursday, I'd like to point out that the actual allegory would be "cat's paw"; in the Aesop's fable, the monkey asked the cat to fetch some chestnuts from the fire, and while the cat nursed its singed paw the monkey ate the chestnuts.

A monkey's paw is actually a gift that has unintended (terrible consequences), after he horror short story by W. W. Jacobs.

Seemed to me that saying monkey's paw as a pun on cat's paw was in fact perfectly correct.

Today this company is doing Hollywood's bidding, tomorrow Hollywood owns them. Sounds scary to me.
