IDC: Linux to benefit from recession (The Register)

The Register looks at an IDC prognostication. "Economic turmoil has always driven change (and sometimes innovation) in the data centre, and this global recession will be no different. This time around, like the recession that started in 2001, it looks like Linux is going to be one of the big beneficiaries."

"In the data center"

Where do this guys spend most of the year ??... in the data center ??... has anyone saw them there ??

When do this guys admit that Linux may benefice from being good.. specially also at desktop, though it may be considered a server centered kernel...

One must feel a complete idiot just for listen to this "angels"... real dark ones... i believe that in depressive attacks many will format clean all their desktop partitions... perhaps what the "angels" want!...

That would be nice, but really, since the 'study' has been sponsored by
the Linux Foundation, was there any doubt the result was going to be good
to Linux?

Some of us maintain a vain hope that studies answer the questions the sponsor asked, instead of justifying the answers the sponsor wanted. We can but hope.

If the "study" was just to determine the answer to a question, there would be no reason to publish it.
