Am I to understand (based on Rusty's git comment) that Tuz will fill in for Tux for one kernel release only?

Yes, that was the extent of Linus's pledge at LCA: replacing Tux with Tuz for one release (i.e. 2.6.29).

My recollection of the event was that Linus pledged that one kernel release would be named Tuz.

The replacing of the logo for one release seems to be a much bigger tribute.

I'm not complaining. I think it's great.

Will it set a precedence for more "guest logos"?
