How Microsoft Warded Off Rival (NY Times)

Several readers have pointed out this NY Times article (registration required), which indicates that Microsoft has probably violated European anti-trust laws in its efforts to win over Linux at all costs. "The Microsoft campaign against Linux raises questions about how much its aggressive, take-no-prisoners corporate culture has changed, despite having gone through a lengthy, reputation-tarnishing court battle in the United States that resulted in Microsoft's being found to have repeatedly violated antitrust laws."

The article quotes Larry Meadows for Microsoft. Didn't Larry Meadows work for Apple for a long time?

Also interesting is that the proposed amendment to the European Patent Convention was compiled by the Business Software Alliance, a mostly M$ funded group. (another anti-trusted related move in Europe IMO.)

...It's funny how a system that was designed to promote disclosure of ideas has been re-branded as a method to "protect research investment".

When facts and things that happen match a certain criterion and logic, even when absurd at first site like the "get away free" of M$ in face of the anti-trust cases;...then one theory that can realy explain it, is a conspiracy or the absolute truth?
