libquantum 1.0.0 and 1.1.0 released

Stuttgart, GERMANY -- Sep 09, 2008 -- The libquantum Development Team
(http://www.libquantum.de/) announces the release of two new versions
of libquantum, the free quantum simulator.

The most important new feature in the 1.1.0 development version is an
additional method for the numerical simulation of quantum systems. It
is based on exact diagonalization of the Hamilton operator, which
describes the temporal behavior of a quantum mechanical
system. Besides numerical integration of the Schroedinger equation,
this supplements libquantum with a second powerful simulation
technique, which, moreover, is simpler in usage. "Quantum simulation
has never been so easy", says Hendrik Weimer, physicist and libquantum
core developer.

The 1.0.0 stable release is focused entirely on fixing bugs of the
previous 0.9.1 release. For example, simulating quantum systems on the
level of the Schroedinger equation now integrates better with the
execution of quantum gates.
