Unlike the other commenter I have a more thoughtful response to your experience.

I see this as exactly the reason why distributions should converge on udev rules. You are
seeing the consequences of divergence, you are expecting the same results on all
distributions, which is why the Ubuntu rules should be sent upstream so that all may benefit
from them.

That Ubuntu has not done so, or upstream has decided not to merge them, is concerning.

While I did know that, I found it out of place, so I found it more productive to give a good
answer instead of making jokes.

I do not mind jokes, but I just felt his post deserved a better reply than yours.
