NIH: Exactly what technology from Linux kernel has Solaris adopted instead of re-implementing
it yourself?
License: If the licensing is so unclear, how come there is no GPL code mixed into Solaris? I'm
fairly certain it's not a smokescreen or amateur opinion, but something professional Sun
lawyers said would be best...

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for all the things sun has contributed, but the amount of
licensing misery caused by inventing (NiH!) yet another license, CDDL, is very real.

You have a valid point. I'm curious what the Sun employees who are commenting here have to say about this.
