I didn't say that the issues are unimportant, I said that I didn't want to discuss them in the
comments section of my blog (which I don't).  I also happen to think that (1) the licensing
issues are largely a smokescreen for good 'ole NIH in the Linux community and (2) the law
(that is, the case law) in the domain of software licensing is so ill-defined that one can
often conclude what one wishes to conclude.  Take these two together, and you have a plague of
amateur legal opinions, contorted to justify rampant, metastasized NIH -- and I personally
want no part of it.
