Yeah, that source routing issue last year made my jaw drop. It indicated that IPv6 is probably somewhere around 10 years less mature than IPv4. Or maybe that the v6 guys are bound and determined to learn a few well-known and fairly obvious security lessons for themselves. I keep hoping someone will figure out how to just extend ipv4 so that both protocols can move over the same wire and apps can be updated with only tiny changes.
