Interview with RPM Fusion developers

Over at the Fedora wiki, Jonathan Roberts interviews the developers of the RPM Fusion repository. "Hans de Goede: We want to be a one stop place for Fedora add-on packages which cannot be in Fedora proper due to various issues. Currently we are a merger of the dribble, freshrpms and livna repositories, and we invite other repositories to join us."

LWN covered the creation of RPM Fusion in <>. It's a shame
that atrpms is not included.

With all due respect to Axel, one of the big problems with atrpms is that it replaces key
packages from Fedora, causing serious repository compatibility problems.

I highly commend RPM Fusion from taking the approach of not replacing Fedora packages in their
repository, as this will make for a much better end-user experience.
