What about nouveau ? I don't see it in the list. It would be great it Ubuntu could push this technology.

Nouveau isn't ready by a long shot. Maybe for Gutsy+1 or Gutsy+2 even, but right now the development is rapid and unstable (as in, much stuff still moves around, many places in the codebase needs to be cleaned, etc). Atleast, that's my impression of it. Nouveau will get better as time goes on, but right now it's lacking in features and whatnot.
