Debian GNU/Linux

The Debian Project announced that it is a
founding member of the Desktop Linux Consortium (DLC) which was recently
founded and will be incorporated as a non-profit association. A recent
survey on DesktopLinux.com indicated that Debian is the most popular
GNU/Linux Distribution for the Desktop.
Stephen Frost discussed problems in OpenSSL
0.9.6/0.9.7, LDAP, SSH. "There are quite a few bugs that are
probably because of the problem I'm about to describe (177868, 178061,
173821, probably others..) so it was felt that this might be something to
make other developers aware of.
