I don't know how appropriate it is, but it is related.
Obvously Agnula is designed to repackage existing distributions (in this case Debian for Demudi) to make them more suitable for multimedia work.
A sort of commercial flake off this project is something called '64studio' which is a commercial distribution doing the same thing (completely Free software) for Debian Etch.
It retains a high degree of compatability with Debian and I was able to do both upgrade from 64Studio's 1.0 release to current Etch and, on a seperate install, use 64studio's packages without issue on Etch and Sid.
This is very nice, IMO.
I applaud Agnula also.. A great deal of the packages they have created seem to now be a part of Debian Etch and their efforts have substantially enriched Debian as a whole as a multimedia/audio workstation OS.
(now if only Debian could upgrade their PAM to support the rtlimits stuff. (I know that's it's very difficult and unerstand the issues around it and debian (somwhat)))
