G95 FORTRAN work continues Posted Jan 30, 2003 3:45 UTC (Thu) by vblum (guest, #1151) [Link] It is interesting to remark that there has been a fork in this project, and two teams are taking separate roads. (Or is that resolved?) While hopefully justified to avoid overly frustrated developers, a fork sounds like a milestone backwards to a full-featured fast free Fortran 90 implementation. No offense to anyone involved intended, just an observation. Sloccount support for Fortran improved Posted Jan 30, 2003 15:24 UTC (Thu) by dwheeler (guest, #1216) [Link] SLOCCount, a tool that measures the number of lines of code in a program, has been modified to improve its support for Fortran. So, when the g95 folks are ready, there will be other tools ready too.
