:) Kterm is no better, I use mrxvt (materm.sf.net). It has the right feature set that I want. Well, it is actually more than what I want, I always compile without all those eye candy features.

I love mrxvt except for one thing: no support for unicode characters. Generally this isn't a problem, but it requires setting my locale to a non-unicode one before I can use some text mode apps (mostly the text mode kernel configuration system).

regarding mlterm: anybody using its "genuine" daemon mode (allowing to keep the terminal sessions even after the X server has crashed)?
