Surely this is a good thing? I mean, has this never happened before? Maybe, just maybe, there really haven't been any new vulnerabilites discovered in the last day or two. Or maybe it just means there are even more waiting to be discovered soon :-)

I think you missed the point - it's sad that _it's_worthy_of_note_, not it's sad that there are no security updates.
