Hi Greg, first of all thank you for your hard work!
I really don't understand your pro DRM position, why do you think that devices like tivo are good? Do you really think that having the source code of the kernel without the ability to run it on a device will boost or is usefull for linux?
The freedom argument is pointless, why GPLv2 is better than BSD? Because GPLv2 limit freedom of developer, they have to release modification of the code.
A big thank you to every Open Source developer.
