i have been reading this too. its good, but i wish he wrote his code segments as real code (literally type the chars i should type). he sort of does, but its somewhat annoying.

So it's not just me. Coincidentally I pulled this book off the shelf over the weekend. It's not easy to follow the examples on your own when there's no explanation of how Hugs actually works or how you run the code samples in Hugs.

i have moved to ghci for 'repl' like development. i am not qualified to say if it is better than hugs, but it seems easier to deal with.
