Interesting comments about gstreamer. Do you consider them to apply to the new 0.10.x series or the older deprecated 0.8.x ?

From the perspective of any of the applications reviewed for this article, 0.8 and 0.10's design is basically the same. 0.10 fixes a lot of bugs, but the core design still makes it difficult to cope with shared resources, error propogation, debugging and profiling, etc.

Funny that.

I am using Amarok right now and it uses Gstreamer.
