ha. Looks like Linux investments are doing good for Novel at least. I hope it's enough for Novel's long term survival.

In the article they said that revenue related to Linux was up 418% compared to a year ago.

Is this "tripling" a result of some creative maths? It sounds to me like they started to factor both Linux and Netware based Open Enterprise Server togather and now declare everything that "could be" Linux as "is" Linux?

I don't think so...

I find this part:
...Linux Subscriptions More Than Triple to 65,000...

Then I see this part:
Sales of stand-alone subscriptions to SUSE(R) Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) totaled 65,000 subscriptions in the quarter, excluding subscriptions sold under enterprise-wide licensing deals, up 137 percent sequentially and 216 percent on a year over year basis.

I take 'sales of stand-alone subscirptions to SUSE' mean Linux-related licensing and them not bundling Linux and Netware stuff together.
I also remember that lack of new Netware sales is the specific reason why Novell is abandoning it in favor of Suse/Linux stuff.
