Yeah, but...

Parent article: Another look at response times

So, here is a new version of the response times table which takes those comments - and alerts issued after publication - into account:

Updating the incorrect entries is all well and good, but if you're going to issue a correction, why not go all the way? As someone else pointed out in the original comments, Mandriva has an excellent record (at least by this metric), and I included both that and Slackware in my own plain-text version of the table. It wouldn't have taken that much longer to verify and/or update those two columns for this article...

Several people also thought that the table needed to include a wider set of vulnerabilities. Yes, I could have done all that, but... I was back on Monday with thousands of emails to wade through, and three kernel page articles, three front page articles, and a security lead to write by Wednesday. Plus a daughter who is desperately behind on her violin practice. So the security article didn't get as much time as it might have. Sorry.

Argh, sorry--I completely forgot about your out-of-townness. Been there, done that, and it usually takes me three full weeks to get caught up... I hereby withdraw all of my whining. ;-)
