LPI Offers Free Certification Exams at LinuxWorld UK

Linux Professional Institute to Offer Free Certification Exams at the
LinuxWorld Conference and Expo 2005, London, UK

Toronto, Canada: September 15, 2005 – The Linux Professional Institute
(LPI), (http://www.lpi.org), the world's premier Linux certification
organization will offer free certification testing during LinuxWorld
Conference and Expo on Wednesday, October 5th and Thursday, October 6th
October at Olympia 2, London, England.

This special offer is being undertaken by LPI's UK affiliate--Open Forum
Europe (OFE) (http://www.openforumeurope.org ).

“LinuxWorld is a great venue to promote Linux, Open Source Software and
the importance of recognized professional standards and
vendor-independent certification for Linux professionals,” said Jim
Lacey, Chairman of LPI's Board of Director and the Office of the CEO.
Mr. Lacey added that “LPI exam labs at LinuxWorld provide an excellent
opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to provide accessible,
high-quality certification to the Linux community.”

Registered LinuxWorld conference delegates can write the exams free of
charge. Trade show attendees will pay a reduced fee of £25 to write the
exams during the conference, rather than the regular price of £50.

During the exam labs, Open Forum Europe will offer LPI 101 and 201
exams, along with 102 exams for those who qualify and request the
advanced-level testing. All exams will be offered at 10 - 11:30 a.m. and
1.30 – 3:00 p.m. each day in the LPI Examination Rooms, which are
located on the lower ground floor in Olympia 2. Candidates must
pre-register on the LPI website at https://www.lpi.org/en/register.html
to receive an identification number. All exam candidates should bring
valid photo identification and their LPI ID number to the exam lab.

LPI is an official sponsor of LinuxWorld, internationally, and will be
participating in the LinuxWorld Expo where LPI's staff will meet
attendees at the OFE booth (stand number D15).  OFE will be giving
advice on Linux and Open Source Software to business, government and
education visitors.
