Why is a SIP phone client for Thunderbird a good idea? I thought the Mozilla project had seen the wisdom of separate tools for separate tasks (i.e., the Firefox/Thunderbird split). Surely a SIP phone client is a nice standalone application.
That's not to say that the various standalone applications can't be designed to work together nicely.
