Berkeley's a pretty expensive place to live Posted Oct 25, 2002 17:41 UTC (Fri) by BrucePerens (guest, #2510) [Link] I do have a consulting and book business that pay for living in Berkeley. The problem is doing half-time Free Software activism on top of the consulting and book business. It's not adding up for the upcoming year, although hopefully it will when I develop my business further. But don't consider just me - consider all of the free software activism that we should we working on and can't afford. My intent is to pay for more than one evangelist.Bruce Bruce Perens calls for donations Posted Oct 25, 2002 19:26 UTC (Fri) by affero (guest, #4182) [Link] Also check out Affero to get donations to the causes you care about like LWN EFF? But note that EFF, as a 501(c)3 non-profit, is actually not allowed to devote a substantial part of its resources to influencing legislature! That's why the organization I'm starting is not a 501(c)3, it's a 501(c)6. See http://techp.org/Articles/FAQ.html for more about this.Bruce EFF?
