I discovered a ".thumbnails" directory in my home directory the other day, containing thumbnails of everything I'd opened in the gimp for the last five months, including pics that my girlfriend would rather hadn't stayed on the hard drive unencrypted. I didn't know the gimp did that.

So a feature I'd look for in a photo management suite is that when I say something's gone, please don't leave any of it behind, and if it's not the only manager of the pic, don't leave anything behind between editing sessions.

clear all cached thumbnails
