This is true. But in attempt to have things just work out of the box, I
bet that Fedora, SuSE, etc. will default to users being members of the
audio group. AFAICT, either you will have to change that behaviour and so
confuse new admins, or else users will have these elevated priveleges on
all workstations.

Muktiple X servers "just work".

Multiple consoles take some extra care, but are doable.

Multiple audio devices? nah, We don't need them. :-(
