Thanks for this article, Jake!

So folks have an easy place to find out how to buy the buy the OpenWrt One, Denver maintains this page on SFC's website. (The tariff situation in the USA has made it a bit wonky the last year to figure out the best place to buy if you're in the USA.)

If you're in the USA Pacific Northwest, or BC, Canada, note that Denver and I will be at LinuxFest Northwest in about 10 days and we will have OpenWrt One's for purchase in the SFC booth!

RE: Official Retailers

Why isn't the bpi shop listed as an official retailer:

https://www.bpi-shop.com/products/banana-pi-openwrt-one-r...

Is the above site not actually affiliated with banana pi?

My understanding is that Banana Pi launched that shop around August 2025, and we haven't had anyone report that they successfully purchased a device from the shop yet (nor has anyone said it doesn't work). We generally like to have a successful report before we recommend it.

Additionally, that particular product page allows you to purchase a "PCBA" variant, which would not have a case, just the populated PCB. Since it has no case, it hasn't been and cannot be FCC certified, and we'd like to avoid any confusion about which versions have been certified.

For what it's worth, I picked mine up from the box today! Took a little patience, but it did arrive.

Note the link doesn't save all selections, apparently, but I did select the US standard one, which comes with a nice blue (metal) case.

Throwaway proton mail, if you want me to send over pics, etc:
