1) Discord/Zulip/etc are not in the same category as Discourse/forums/etc; the latter is for long-form posts with a higher latency, the former is for live chat with (usually) a lower latency. They aren't interchangeable.

2) Zulip web-public channels can be automatically published to zulip-archive, which can be indexed by search engines, in addition to Zulip having its own search. And eventually, Zulip web-public channels will be *directly* indexable.
