Parent article: The future for Tyr

It looks like current upstream drivers/gpu/drm/tyr/ only has code to:

- bind to devices based on device tree config
- enable power
- issue soft resets
- query device information

"not capable of much"

We hope to change that quickly once the Rust abstractions for gpuvm + gem shmem + io_pgtable land. We simply cannot boot the firmware without these bits, and the firmware interface is the most important part of the driver. This explains why there is little to show for the upstream driver at the moment. We are a bit blocked in this sense.
