Greatly deserved, for sure. Greg isn't a household name, yet he's the one keeping the show on the road: churning out the 'battle tested' kernels that all the real-world workloads are running, 24/7, year after year. Just look at the volume of patches flowing through the stable series, every week, and it's frankly quite dizzying. For 35 years, Linus has been in charge of bringing us tomorrow's kernel; but today's kernel depends hugely on Greg's tireless work.
