## Guillaume - Arm

Tumbleweed:
    * GCS workaround (-Wl,-z,gcs-report-dynamic=none) moved last week
from %optflags to %build_ldflags. %cmake_kf5 and %cmake_kf6 macros
have been updated to handle LD flags properly and fix multiple build
failures.

ARMv9 project: (Rebuild of Tumbleweed rings 0+1 packages + few others)
    * Wiki page: https://en.opensuse.org/Armv9_project
    * WIP:
        - Fix packages built without PAC/BTI/GCS flags
        - Use :ToTest sub-project to setup a proper test-and-release
workflow with OBS and openQA.
        - Improve armv9 tests in openQA

## Sarah - s390x
* Tumbleweed:
    * ghc is failing because a llvm dependency < 16: Forwarded to IBM
via Linux Distributions Working Group
    Update question: It is verified by IBM, but which LLVM version do
we want to get enabled? We are using 18 as an example, Debian is using
21 already and enablement takes some time.
    * onnx: fix for builds without internet access available (next
step for Sarah)
    -> https://github.com/onnx/onnx/issues/7526

* Leap:
    * tests are failing more and continuously
      @Santiago: s390x need also hearts (equally to arm): When do we
receive a working test infrastructure?
      https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/188931

* Escalations regarding SUSE Package Hub (SLES/Leap) at GNUCobol and gcc gCobol:
    1) Outdated gnu-cobol package in SUSE Package Hub for SLES 16 and
with old name
    Factory SR: https://build.opensuse.org/requests/1329633 (OBS Admin
required for changing repo name)
    Question: Can ge get a package with so many updates to Leap/SLES 16?
    lkocman: I can open jira for this. I suppose cobol is in SLES.
    https://build.opensuse.org/requests/1210933 (problem no reaction
from package maintainers)
    2) We have gCobol in gcc with exception of s390x (gCobol library
can not be built)
    -> will be discussed on FOSDEM and will be forwarded to IBM
    FOSDEM: The GNUCobol Project Lead and one gCobol Maintainer for
gcc want to have a meeting at FOSDEM, how we can collaborate better
and improve Cobol on Linux in general.

## Leap

2nd Retro meeting today at 13:30 CEST. Everybody is welcome to bring
their lunches to the meeting.
https://calendar.opensuse.org/teams/release/events/opensu...

Draft of https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:License with SUSE Software
Solutions Ireland Ltd. and no US (Export) law, as well as
generalization openSUSE Leap X.Y -> openSUSE Distributions. So the
license applies for all our distributions. State is that lkocman is
currently waiting for SUSE Legal for revisiting the data protection.
https://lists.opensuse.org/archives/list/translation@list...
We might add French to official legal translations list as I have not
seen a French volunteer on the Mailing List.

First build is already published on ftp.stage according to Adrian
Next step is to have ftp.prod synced with stage
https://gitlab.suse.de/buildops/release-support/-/issues/400
Since 16.0 we're using bind mounts instead of publish_distro from OSRT.

First wave of new package pool/leap-16.X requests for 16.1 + 16.0 sent
to autobuild. Plan is to use git-obs for to merge product PRs.

openSUSE Leap 16.1 job groups WIP (see Santi's section)

## Maintenance (Marcus, Robert)

15.x updates progressing normally
16 has some backlog because of a lot of submissions in the past 7 days

## Doug
NA

## Adrian - OBS

Leap 16.0 - rpmtrees we always pushed all binaries even if there was a
minor maintenance update, every binary got synced again to pontifex
because of timestamp change. This is fixed now, syncing should be much
faster.

## Bernhard - Slowroll

rolling normally ; next snapshot to be taken in ~6 days

## Bernhard - reproducible builds

did some patches
posted https://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/1qfw17a/today_is_...

## Adam - Git Workflow

Packages without devel project link in Factory are skipped from sync
to src.opensuse.org (recently found goose was recently fixed by Ana).

## Santiago - openQA
- Set up syncing of assets for leap 16.1 and added an option in the
obs sync code to support longer timeouts for multiarch repositories
- Working on Leap 16.1 setup in openQA, jobgroups are pending, using
current TW agama coverage as base
- Setup of Aeon on openQA is pending (perhaps we could mention that on
the telegram channel for Aeon)
- No progress on agama for s390 for leap or TW

## Open Floor
Jim : No questions for now.

    Q: Not clear what to communicate as process for pool packages
missing branch, i.e. for package addition to 16.
   A: Community members should open request on
https://code.opensuse.org/leap/features/issues

    Q: What is the process for SLE submissions through s.o.o ?
    A: Defer people to https://code.opensuse.org/leap/features/issues
where lkocman creates SUSE jira, or does the PR himself.
