Parent article: A note for MXroute users

Their "Contact Us" link is for customers only, which is a giant WTF.

Perhaps a physical letter mailed to their address? At least that's given on the bottom of their web site.

I definitely suggest you address it to the COO.
Or maybe in-house counsel. My hair stood straight up one time when I got a snail-mail letter forwarded by counsel (:-))

A registered letter from your counsel might get their attention.

MXroute has already corrected the issue, and those of our subscribers who use their services should have received the re-sent weekly edition emails. So such drastic measures weren't needed in this case.

I noticed you resending them, so I also made a donation to compensate for your time.

This is a perfect example of why we need diversity in the mail hosting business and shouldn't let it be concentrated among a few big players like GOOG and MSFT.

Could you imagine either of those two giants taking the time out to correct the problem LWN was having? I don't think so. We need alternatives like MXroute and others to keep the big players honest (or at least not too dishonest.)

In my experience it is mostly the hosts that all use one of those third party IP or domain reputation services that are an issue. That entire field seems full of companies not really interested in resolving false positives.

No need to imagine. As a mail admin of a tiny ISP: Microsoft does have reasonably easy to find contacts and they do sometimes reply, sometimes the issue goes away without an explicit response. Google does not.
