Status
======

The development trunk is now in Stage 4 of the development of GCC 16.
Stage 4 allows for regression and documentation fixing, it is supposed
to stabilize trunk for the release of GCC 16.1. Features not merged until
now have to wait for Stage 1 unless you get approval from release
managers.

Stage 4 will conclude with the first release candidate for GCC 16.1
which will happen when we reach zero regressions with priority P1.
Historically this happens somewhen in April.

I have classified most regressions that are new in GCC 16 but not
yet the rest - those should by definition almost all be not P1.
