Nepotism and corruption affect Open-Source too

This sort of poll is what the US used to do 30 years ago, in the infancy of the open source software movement. I wasn't facing much of anything beyond the standard sabotage at work and school because of my Orthodox religion, as well as being outright insulted and attacked when presenting at startup conferences. That ultimately led me to open-source my work.
