## Leap and Package HUB

SLES 16.1 engineering kickoff on Nov 4th. Leap 16.1 will follow some
time after. Roadmap TBD.

People reporting issues with ventoy ... we did some public statements
on social media saying that 3rd party tool modifying our images is
something we are not supporting. But it throws us into a bad light as
people typically don't mention I used ventoy and image is not booting.
They start with My take on Leap 16.0 ... image did not boot.
lkocman: I did reach out to Ventoy team, about potential collaboration
on making ventoy experience better (e.g. early testing and reporting
issues etc).

Max: Be aware that a lot of legacy systems will have boot issues as
well (aside from ventoy issues).

leap-16.1 branch has been created in the pool project for the relevant
package, as well as leap-16.1 branch was there for the project already

set up openSUSE:Backports:SLE-16.1 and openSUSE:Leap:16.1 project on
OBS is the next step

## Maintenance (Marcus, Robert)

git merge in leap-16.0 branch with factory branch in
src.opensuse.org/pool/$package
And make a pull request against leap-16.0 branch in pool. Same GA
project/branch is used also for maintenance.

https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Git_Packaging_Workflow

## Santiago - openQA
- Grub2-bls is slowly moving forward
- Waiting for reviews of the Leap 16 maintenance bot:
https://github.com/openSUSE/openSUSE-release-tools/pull/3271
    - Needs to be deployed
    - Some staged updates are already approved, products/PackageHub
and openSUSE/LeapNonFree are working fine
    - Some updates are showing less packages in the patch than those
available, currently being looked at

## Adrian - OBS

Marcus Meissner pointed me to the fact that $arch specific repodata
did not have the patchinfo metadata. The patch to product-composer is
on the way.

Jim: Can we have a new OBS release based on Leap 16.0.

## Bernhard - Slowroll

No update on Slowroll.

## Bernhard - reproducible builds

Sends greetings from reproducible builds conference.

## Adam -- Git Workflow

* moved bot sources to https://src.opensuse.org/git-workflow/autogits
* adding handling for .gitmodules conflicts -- important for projects
that add/rm packages via PRs

Adrian: the .gitmodules conflicts could be a local tool? (Adrian/Adam
please correct me here).
Adam: will add it to utilities subpackage
