Extended support release Posted Jun 24, 2025 18:42 UTC (Tue) by smcv (subscriber, #53363) [Link] (1 responses) For distros and organisations that prefer fewer, larger major-version updates (like Debian), I believe this is also the beginning of a new ESR branch superseding 128. Debian ESR Posted Jun 26, 2025 4:49 UTC (Thu) by pabs (subscriber, #43278) [Link] Debian firefox-esr seems to be sticking with the 128 branch for now. Unloading tabs Posted Jun 24, 2025 19:08 UTC (Tue) by EnigmaticSeraph (subscriber, #50582) [Link] Not noted here, nor prominently in their Release Notes is that they now allow one to manually unload tabs (also in bulk). I hope this spreads to the Chromium tree as well. Extesions Icon removal Posted Jun 25, 2025 11:40 UTC (Wed) by mote (guest, #173576) [Link] I know this is extremely minor in the big picture, but the ability to finally delete that useless Extensions icon from the toolbar - which Mozilla forced on us to begin with against user feedback - can finally be removed. We never asked for or wanted that forced icon in the first place, may it rest in the grave with the old forced Pocket integration code.
