Matt forcing a fork

Via another post on the Wordpress.Org site it appears Matt has decided to force a fork, by the people talking about the need for restructuring how the Wordpress project is run last month (Joost / Karim), by blocking their accounts on Wordpress.Org (used to upload plugins):

Considering Joost / Karim said they didn’t want to fork, and AFAIK hadn't done anything more since last month, blocking their accounts (and several others) on the justification it’d help them fork seems like… an escalation.
