  LINUXFOCUS IN THE USA!???
     As coordinator of the LinuxFocus project I apologize for the
     mistake made when announcing recently a new web server in our
     domain for the USA use. We activated the address www.us.linuxfocus.org
     so that it would point to the mirror set up by certain company in the
     US however by some extrange reason unknown to me the host name
     www.us.linuxfocus.org was changed suddenly from pointing to the
     LF mirror to point to the cormercial pages in that site. 
     As a result LF readers that went to the www.us.linuxfocus.org 
     URL were received not by the LF magazine but by a comercial site. 

     I believe this was a mistake on the behalf of the host site 
     administrator. We are currently investigating the incident and 
     temporarely removing from our DNS table that address. LF by no 
     means endorses any commercial product nor advertises any commercial
     product. We do acknowledge the sponsorship of people and companies
     that give us free access to the internet so that we can bring a
     FREE magazine to the Linux community. But this is very different
     from including a commercial site into our pages.  

     Once again we apologize to our readers and collaborators and ask
     of your understanding on the incident. As soon as we find the exact
     reasons for the error we will bring it to you.
