We had a great turn-out in the afternoon of both EdLUG and Uni folks
(~70) for a fascinating presentation on Beowulf with a lively discussion
to follow; I suspect Edinburgh is in the process of growing  some
clusters....
The evening session was less formal, dealing as much with discussing the
best use of malted barley (with  examples) as the finer points of
distributed computing  ;)
A big, big thank you to Robert Hart for an excellent day and to RedHat
for a very generous goodie bag.
We're keeping the theme running with Shane Sturrock on his work on
micro-parallelism at tommorrow's meeting.
