To: lwn@lwn.net Subject: Linux and Year 2000 Date: Thu, 11 Jun 1998 08:18:31 -0400 From: cbbrowne@hex.net I took a look at the web page at: <http://lwn.net/cgi-bin/vrelay/www.cinderella.co.za> and regrettably *didn't* see anything vis-a-vis Linux with respect to Y2K issues. I suppose there may be PC BIOS issues that may "bite" some Linux systems; that certainly didn't seem to be discussd there. I have been collecting somewhat more related links at <http://www.ntlug.org/~cbbrowne/linux10.html>. This page could vary in location slightly as it is managed using SGMLDoc; the parent page will always be <http://www.ntlug.org/~cbbrowne/linux.html> This sort of thing may hopefully be useful for the weekly iteration of people requiring a clue that pass through saying that their boss is very concerned about whether Linux is "Y2K Certified" or not. -- cbbrowne@hex.net - What have you contributed towards Linux today?
