Subject: Linux School Management System?

Are there any Linux school management packages out there yet? Our
school district wants to axe our AS/400 consortium and have our own
servers to do our school management. Being stuck with the whims of our
county AS/400 administrators is not particularly fun. 

	A school management system should be able to:
	1. hold student records
	2. do automatic scheduling given class requests
	3. take daily attendance, do grades, etc
	4. use a standard SQL database backend that we can write our own
	   software that uses the student records.

	Any ideas would be appreciated.
