You can also download KDE beta 4 from the Suse ftp site:

ftp.suse.com/pub/suse_update/KDE/Beta4-with-qt-1.33/

This version is customized to work with your SuSE install, and required
little or no customization to work.  If I remember right, all you have to 
do is switch xdm to kdm in rc.config.
