Hi,
I know that this is the second announce today, but I have finally found some
time to compile Slackware packages to and added them to the distribution.
So now we have packages that support Redhat 5.0 glibc and Slackware glibc
systems. The former are the well tested RPMs I have announced several times
while the later are considered beta. I believe them to work but I need a real
slackware user to test them, cause I can only test them in a very loosy way.
So please who ever tests them inform me by Email.
For all off you who are don't know much about Linux, I will supply some extra
information.
The RedHat stuff has been announced and described in my former postings, but I
think that posting a full README everytime is not useful.
Slackware on the other hand is a very old Linux distribution which I
consindered dead but it isn't as found out by several emails that reached me
since my laszt announce. It doesn't use any decent package system, but it
simply installs good, old binary packages which are gziped tarballs.
